14; I played soccer and needed a sport to play in the fall season.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
In elementary school I wanted to be my mom, not necessarily a mother but to be someone as great as my mother was to me. In middle school I remember making a vision box and I wanted to be a professional soccer player and a missionary. Although soccer may be out of my reach, a mom and a missionary are still within it!
What do you do when you're not playing field hockey?
Playing board games, reading, trying new recipes, or doing other active things (tennis, biking, rock climbing occasionally).
What is your favorite food to cook?
Anything I haven't made before; there is something so fun in discovering new methods and new flavors. There's also the chance something goes wrong, which makes things a little more fun.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?
There is no one who cares more about your success than you do; so if you want to get better you have to be the driving force - asking for feedback, putting in the work, praying diligently about direction.
What is your favorite place to travel to?
"The Rivah" in Kinsale, Va where Jeremy and I got married this summer. There's no wifi, no gas station for 11 miles, not much of anything besides the people you are with and the water.

What is your favorite field hockey memory?
Winning Indoor Pan-Ams in 2017. It was one of the most special teams I've been a part of; we weren't particularly experienced or the best but as a team we were better than we were apart.
